THE PENYA
who we are
Dear Penyista; I am addressing you to thank you for your willingness to be a member of the Barça club in Cotlliure.
Last Monday, April 13, 2020, FC Barcelona informed us that we are now the club's official Peña, news that filled us with joy and happiness because finally the work done was rewarded. The fact of the union of the best sports club in the world with Cotlliure (the town that captivated me more than 20 years ago) has meant immense joy for me and my traveling companions in the creation of this rock.
Now what we have to do is work hard so that the whole town knows the Blaugrana feeling and its history, and thus fill it with members.
We are aware that these are not easy times to start working on this project because of everything we are experiencing with Covid-19, but all the members of the Board will make up for these difficulties with excitement and desire.
Due precisely to what is happening and the confinement that is taking place in France and Catalonia, we have not been able to pass membership fees yet, we will try to do so during the month of May. We hope that between June and July Barça will send us your card, which we will send you immediately.
Today we have 90 members, so we will soon reach a hundred, which was our first goal in these first months. When everything normalizes in Cotlliure we are convinced that many people from the town will become members and we will keep increasing this number.
As we develop actions, we will inform you, and if any of you have any ideas to contribute, they will be very welcome.
Finally, let me tell you that next May 20 at 5 p.m. we will hold an online Assembly to ratify the new board and other social issues, in which I hope you can be present. In the coming days we will inform you how to access it.
